Hailey Russell (Cal State / Rider University) continued her great play by scoring early against the Washington DC Dutch Lions. Nicole Palmer (UNC Charlotte) made a great run out of the back and put a beautiful through ball to Russell to send her in all alone on the goalie. That goal turned out to be the game winner as the Fever held on for the 1-0 win. Riley Spingler (Bloomsburg University) had a strong game in goal for the Fever to earn her third shutout this season. The Fever play Delaware Ospreys in Delaware on Thursday. Next home game is Tuesday July 6 against SJEB Barons at 7:00 PM at First Responders Field. SJEB is currently ranked in the top 10 in the WPSL.
